OVERVIEW:

Certified Safety Professional candidates are usually experienced safety professionals who lead and manage workplace safety. Their responsibilities include assessing risks, identifying hazards and controls, analyzing safety data, investigating incidents, and preparing emergency response plans. They also support safety management systems and may contribute to environmental management systems. CSPs play an important role in influencing leadership, engaging workers, and strengthening the organization’s safety culture.

EXAM PREPARATION WITH SAFIONEX:

The SAFIONEX CSP Exam Preparation Course is designed to provide structured, practical, and exam-focused support for safety professionals preparing for the CSP certification. The video lectures have been prepared by considering the books recommended by BCSP, BCSP examCORE, and feedback from candidates who have already attempted the exam, so learners receive focused guidance aligned with exam expectations. The course also allows candidates to study at their own pace from anywhere and at any time, making preparation more flexible and convenient. The course combines topic-wise learning, practice support, assessments, and trainer guidance to help candidates prepare with confidence.

• LMS access available for revision during the course and for the stated access period after sessions end
• If a candidate does not pass on the first attempt, free LMS access will be provided for two additional months to support preparation for the next retake

Note: Completion of the course supports exam preparation but does not guarantee passing the BCSP examination. Success depends on individual preparation, practice, and exam performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. At minimum, a bachelor’s degree*

2. Four (4) years of safety, health, and environment (SH&E) experience, at least 50% of which is/was preventative, professional level work with breadth and depth of safety duties

3. A BCSP Qualified Credential:

   • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)**

   • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)

   • Transitional Safety Practitioner (TSP)**

   • Certified Industrial Hygienist® (CIH®)

   • Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH)**

   • Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CFIOSH)**

   • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)**

   • Professional Certificate in Safety and Occupational Health, U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center (ACRC) (formerly “CP-12”)**

   • Certified Safety Engineer (CSE), as administered by the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS), People’s Republic of China (PRC)**

   • Master in Occupational Safety and Health, International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC-ILO)**

   • NEBOSH National or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety**

   • Professional Member of the Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO)**

   • Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Safety, as issued by the State Government Departments Boards of Technical Education, Government of India (AICTE)**

4. Passing the CSP examination

Applicants must also disclose if they have been convicted of criminal offenses or have had a professional license or credential suspended, revoked, or placed under probation. BCSP keeps this information confidential but may deny an application based on these matters.

*When applying for the CSP with a degree from a college outside the United States, that degree will be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
